Transportation is provided from Reynolds plantation to the campus. Local Colleges includes: The University of Athens, Athens GA – Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville GA – A branch of Athens Tech, Greensboro GA – and a Branch of Macon Tech, Eatonton GA.

Reynolds Plantation History
|
Early 1900’s Mercer Reynolds Sr. reclaims 7,000 acres formerly know as “Crackers Neck” Mercer built a Hunting and Fishing Retreat called “Linger Longer”. In the late 1930’s Mercer and his Cousin James Madison Reynolds Combine all land Owned by the Reynolds Family approximately 10,000 acres. The land was left in a trust. In 1979 Lake Oconee was Created giving the 10,000 acres more than 80 miles of shoreline .
- 1985 – The trust was release to Mercer’s Grandchildren and the Linger Longer Partnership was formed.
- 1987 - The first properties at Reynolds Plantation sold.
- 1988 – The Plantation Golf Course opens.
- 1989- Great Waters Property was Acquired.
- 1990- The first properties in Great Waters sold.
- 1992 - Great Waters Golf Course opens.
- 1997- The National Golf Course opens.
- 2000 - Construction Begins on The Ritz Carlton Lodge
- 2002 - The Ritz Carlton Lodge and The Oconee Golf Course open.
- 2005 - Port Armor is Acquired and is now Reynolds Landing a Part of Reynolds Plantation
